JOIN TEAM M.U.G.E.N DS

...Is this some kind of joke? You can't just say "I'm making this game go make it for me". You can't expect to pull together a competent team when you have no idea what you're doing. This is pretty obviously something you've never done before, and you couldn't be going about it in more of a wrong way.

For one, you're not porting MUGEN to DS. You're trying to throw together some kind of new game based on MUGEN, and making more work in the process. Making a game that looks like MUGEN doesn't work for MUGEN. It has to be...MUGEN. If you understand what I mean.

Second, you're basically doing nothing. You're telling people to make the game based on whatever you happen to come up with. Hate to break it to you, but making a menu mockup in Photoshop isn't a valid contribution for someone that's supposed to be in charge of a project.

Third, do you honestly think you'll come up with a quality game by just asking anyone that wants to help to do some part? You're going to get a bunch of people without much real experience putting together a subpar project that will probably fall apart before you actually get anywhere.

I can't see this going anywhere at all. A team leader needs to know what he's doing, and you don't seem to have a clue. That can't go over well.

1. ACTUALLY, I am LEARNING to use PAlib, C++

2. True, I'm not porting MUGEN to ds(anymore), I looked into this, and realized that in all reality it was well, impossible.

4. That is EXACTLY what i am worrying about

The idea is not totoally impossible, just unlikely.

There are no rules in trying to put together a team, and someone has to start somewhere.

Just becuase the coach of a football team wasnt previously a QB. doesnt mean he cant put together a winning team.

Just putting that out there. for everyone 10 people knocking it there could be one to help. Im still skeptic my self.

edit - Ive actually had previous experiance with this. I tried learning a little coding, and designing. shot the idea around of starting a team, it didnt go anywhere though, mostly on my part of not sticking with it when, I got turned down.

You might even consider aproaching some people in the scene that have previous experiance. credabilty goes along way. The most that could happen is they will say no.

first of all, you are LEARNING. I believe that you have only started to learn from few days ago. That won't help. To be able to make what you are thinking of, it won't work.

That's like announcing a project before you actually start something.

second, making a menu with photoshop won't help at all. I believe you don't even know the basics of graphics with the DS hardware.

third of all, you are HOPING to find a better coder. No coder will EVER do YOUR project for YOU. They can help, but not do.

fourth, it just won't work. Do the coding yourself, or it's not your project.

OMGZ I made the AwsomZ menu I'm the LeadR NOw CoDe thiZ MEnu 4 Meh!!!111!1

Hey man I'm just throwing the idea out here. Be expecting a demo SOON.

2nd. The "better coder" would be someone to program the AI.

3rd Did I not say menu OUTLINE, because that is what it is

This really feels like NSMB2 all over again. Why not put it on hiatus, and resume after you've learned to code, since you are currently learning.
Try making some simple things, by yourself, for the ds (really go minimal on the graphics, make sure the code works the way you want it to). After you succeed with that, come back and make a "team" for a homebrew project.

It'd really be best to freeze or drop this now, or very soon. Think of your reputation. (Or the one you'd like to have (inb4 INTERNET == SERIOUS BIZNESS))

its a homebrew game in a weird progress???.... i dont know anything about coding, the only skill i have is lousy drawing on meh ds.
