Homebrew Japanese 3ds LL Downgrade + a9LH question

i have a japanese 3ds LL with 10.6.0-31J.

I am planning on downgrading and a9LH on it. Now for the downgrade portion, is the requirement to remove a certain CIA applicable to me.

I have Gateway-3ds and use it on my N3ds. Is there any real benefit for me use a9LH vs Gateway, except for update protection and and protection.

Is the benefit worth the brick chance considering this O3ds LL also has a capture card for streaming.

If you follow Plailect's guide you don't need to remove the CIA, as the provided pack doesn't include the problematic title.

The brick chances are slim to none, provided you read the guide VERY carefully. There is a long list of benefits to use A9LH rather than Gateway, but I can't list all of them.
