(J)RPG with roleplaying?

So gameplay that resembles say final fantasy but with the roleplaying and choices of RPG like say Morrowind where all your choices exists and matters to the plot.

To be honest, I don't really remember what Romancing Saga 3 was about.
But it was very non linear, and I don't have a clue about anything else.
Hmmm... actually, I should take a look at it really.
Was there really w role playing in it, or is it that it was very non linear and that is all?

Phantasy Star Portable and Nova have just a tiny bit of dialogue choices with some consequences. A bit better in this plane would be Tales of Xillia 2, but you don't create your own char in that game. But overall - nah. Japs aren't into that kind of stuff.
