A PS2 emulator is at least within the realm of possibility, though I'm not sure if the Switch hardware is powerful enough to be playable. The only ones who could port KH2 directly to the Switch is Square-Enix.

Is it possible? Yes.

Will it run full speed on all games? Maybe, or perhaps only some.

When will it happen? Who knows, there's literally no work done on a PS2 emu for this architecture, so your gonna be waiting a long friggin time.

you cant port a game without source code and 99% of all games are closed source so no luck there, and the switch will probably never play ps2 games at decent speeds either so yeah get a ps2, or ps3 or buy the hd collections on ps4.

I think it’s possible.
At least if we get port of damon pro (this is a ps2 emu on android) to the switch it’ll be amazing because this emu is running great on most of a android devices.

See here some examples:

This is crash bandicoot the warth of cortex on android phone see how amazing is running on.

And here also the most demanding game (god of war) see how good it runs.

Even though the developers of this emulator are taking care about and working on it regularly to make it evn more stable.

Short answer? Yes, a port is possible.

Long answer? Yes, a port is possible with some configuring. We've got an HD version on the PS3/4 (don't remember), so the assets are there. The engine may be a small hindrance, as I think it's proprietary. Maybe unreal? Idk.

An emulator would suffice, but would be buggier than all hell.

I think the best way would to just port moonlight to the switch that way you can just stream pcsx2 to the switch. I do it with my shield and it works great. The switch has the hardware built in to handle the streaming natively if someone would port the software needed. Not to mention all the other pc games that you can stream. The hopes of a moonlight port is honestly the main reason I'm excited about switch homebrew.

I respect your opinion. But we really need a standard port like damon pro on android.
To take the advantage to play on the go without internet or something like that.
However moonlight is great app to have it on switch.

It's closed source and even if it wasn't, it uses OpenGL which isn't usable on switch yet. Hardware-wise it's probably doable (maybe not at full speed) but practically, I wouldn't expect to see anything for a few years. PS2 emulation is lacking as it is. I'd really expect to see Dolphin first.
