Alright, so I'm thinking of getting my old dusty PSP-1000 again and see if anything is new.

There's some 6.60 CFW on it (can't check right now which CFW)
And TONS of homebrew games, the Tetris and Zeldas maybe the best! And I still think the PSP has the best homebrew games today's age!

Anyway, what I'd like to do is using some program... I think it was RemoteJoy or something like that.
I remember there's like a v0.19 version and PSPDisp v0.6 (not sure if you need that one too).

But it's sooo outdated, what was it like, from 2010?

    So my questions are:
Is it possible to play on TV with the PSP-1000?
What are the options for RemoteJoy nowadays? Or maybe a better app.

Anything other useful from timestamps 2017 and 2018?

    Thanks in advance.

RemoteJoyLite (PSPDisp is only really used for the Type B driver, its main purpose is actually the opposite of RemoteJoyLite)
And it still works fine, 6.61 is extremely close to 6.60

No, but of course you can play on PC (with RemoteJoyLite) and nobody forbids you from using an external monitor on your PC :)

Just the return of an on-console PSP homebrew store (mainly advertised to Vita users too)

Yes, you can play on the TV, you will need to use a Composite compatible TV, or a Composite to HDMI converter.

This is the cable that you will need.

Not on a 1000 (the cable doesn't even fit as the remote socket is smaller), and not on a 2000 either (without the Fusa SD plugin), where composite can only be used for media but not apps

I always keep a couple of these around. Love them so much. (Though when I first got them I didn’t know about setting the display to TV, so I thought they were broken. lol)

Not sure exactly why you'd opt for the composite cables. I suppose with FusaSD you can play the games on the TV, rather than just sending over media? But the component cables for the PSP-2000 support that functionality right out of the box and I'd say most modern TVs are more likely to have a component input (although many do still have composite but it seems to look pretty bad after the scaling occurs on the TV and the colors tend to bleed together). I suppose the most modern of modern TVs sometimes only come with HDMI nowadays though.

I believe FusaSD is still useful in this case, or I remember using a similarly named plugin, because even with the component cables the PSP's video output to the TV is not fullscreen...in fact it looks a bit bigger than the PSP's screen size except on your TV. The relatively low resolution of the games, though impressive for a handheld at the time, do not look so great on a TV screen either, and most games seem like the colors are a bit darker. FusaSD can display fullscreen on your TV I believe, although when I tried it I seem to remember it being a little spotty as far as getting it to work and some games could not play at full speed in fullscreen. It could have been an earlier version of the plugin I tried though, as I'm running off of my memory from years ago here. Either way, I remember being pretty unimpressed with the TV-out of the PSP-2000 which I seem to remember being billed as as one of the more interesting features as far as users looking to upgrade or users deciding whether to get a shiny new PSP-2000 or snag a better price on a PSP-1000.

But at any rate I've gone rather off topic here because those cables are not compatible at all with the topic creator's PSP-1000 as the above users have pointed out as well.

does that mean that you can upscale games using fusaSD on a 3000 with component cables?

Cause when I got to game running on sd and the screen went black I rather have it directly playable on huge screen and psp screen too small for my eyesore lol
