well threes one dsi thing for ds but its been discontinued (flipnote studio cart japan exclusive) besides you cant make notes because its a cart

Someone would need to write a loader, which would probably have to patch the games because of the missing hardware.

I don't know why someone would bother doing it.

The DSi actually has upgraded hardware and other features that the DS(phat/lite) simply lack. So DSi exclusive games and DSi enabled features simply can't work on the DS hardware. It's the same reason why you can't play 3DS games on the DS.

Not to mention even if it were possible, the games would suffer from some serious lag, think Hyrule Warriors on old3Ds levels of lag. So it would be a lot of work just for lag games.

There's not even enough RAM for a DS to run a DSi game.

DSi enabled features simply can't work on the DS hardware. It's the same reason why you can't play 3DS games on the DS.

actually dsi enhanced can be run in ntr only on ds because the features for the dsi is most likely just camera or speedup stuff. the 3ds on the other hand is a no

I wouldn't worry about it though, to be honest the list of DSi games is super small and most of them will run on a DS in DS mode (the games have enhanced features for DSi mode) and out of the DSi exclusive games there is literally like 1 interesting game...

I could have or could buy a DSi even now, but I don't feel any desire to do so. There just isn't enough software to even remotely say it's worth it to buy one.
