Hacking Iso too big for a single layer DVD-R

Hi people, I was wondering if it would be possible to split an iso into 2 files to burn on 2 different single -layered DVD's instead of a dual ?

In the off chance that the answer is yes, how do you make the game warn you before the first DVD ends ? Is there an app that prompts that ?

That I do not know...I never used those and the game that I'm trying to burn is the only big one that I want to burn, I thought it'd be nice to economise on the DVDs especially since I have like 15 single-layered's left.

No, there's no way to do that and still have the game playable.

Games that are multi-disc are specifically built for it, often including duplicate data (so it can access some core data no matter which disc is inserted) and making sure that data for the first part of the game is on disc 1, and so on.

Why not just soft mod and use a thumb drive ?

Thats way easier than trying to burn a disk. And much less expensive.
