Hacking Is vwii modding complerely safe?

I'm pretty experienced with wii modding, but I want to be able to play my wii backups on my wii u. The whole idea of modding my Wii U seems pretty daunting, as there is a lot more to lose. I want as little chance of falure as possible. Also, what are some of the best loaders for the vwii?

but if you are very worried about messing up and dont plan to hack your Wii U part. why don't you get a second hand Wii and just hack that. wii's are very cheap now.
