I would not use DBI at all. The creator had added brick code and can remote brick every console that uses DBI. For any purposes I would need DBI for I use Awoo Installer.
Do you know enough about code to prove your claim? I don't, but would love to actually see this claim. I heard that it was a (bad) joke and is not actually there.
@duckbill007 Could you kindly assist over here? It seems no one else really knows how to fix the timeout issue, let alone believes it actually exists. Would be very much appreciated.
That is what I figured. I looked through the change logs, and there seems to be a few bug fixes, along with some new functionality that I may never use. So, I guess if it stops working, then I should update to the Russian version?
Man, I am "is a dense person who hates civilized Western countries ", so why should I assist to fix a bug in open source project that whole community can not fix for more than five years? Also, I already did this: I explained what is happened and linked where it is described in details.

If I knew what to do with what you said, I'd fix it. I'm trying. I tried setting up switch dev environment following instructions on switchbrew but really don't even know where to go from there. I can't learn all of this in a few days time. I don't even know where on switchbrew the info you stated is mentioned. I looked but was unable to locate it it. I'm asking for some assisence, it doesn't necessaarily need to be from you.
My main language is Japanese, but I can speak a little English secondarily, so it's a shame that the latest DBI isn't available in English. I love this software, but I don't know much about what's going on in the community. I hope there will be no conflicts and the Switch hacking community will be better in the future.

It's about one application, don't worry about it. There are alternatives in English that you can and should use. Switch hacking/homebrew community is great.

And I thought you were just the guy who shows people on blanked prodinfo their serial for a cheap scare
Anyway, thanks for making DBI, it's pretty much the only option for large libraries on mass storage, and I very much enjoy scrolling faster than 3 entries per second or seeing what titles are corrupt or already installed. I know I'm no longer the target audience, but I would immensely enjoy if rclone's http backend synced with the server (I think it needs HEAD support)
I tried to install an XCI for Dragon Quest III HD-2D with DBI 658, but for some reason it says there's nothing to install. According NX File Viewer the contents are like structured like in the picture below (it seemed a little strange because there's nothing under normal?).
Anyone know how to install this or what's wrong here?

I just tried installing the xci and it worked fine using DBI MTP Responder method. I'm on 19.0.1 on both sysMMC and emuMMC, Atmosphere 1.8.0, Hekate 6.2.2, and sys-patch 1.5.5. I do not have any sigpatches on my sd card whatsoever.

I can try adding sys-patch as I'm just using regular sigpatches (although I've never had an issue with that so far). My Atmosphere, firmware, Hekate and sigpatches are the latest greatest, ergo the same versions you mentioned. What version of DBI do you use, by the way?
You mean the specific case I mentioned? Because I'm not sure if this has to do with this Dragon Quest II HD-2D XCI having a different format than the usual XCI. Up until this one, I've been able to install any XCI with DBI.

I currently use DBI 750 for batch installing but use Tinwoo for single file installs. The family of installers Tinwoo belongs to has a bug that causes time outs when doing batch installs that no one capable of doing so wants to fix. Why not try with the latest release of DBI?

The DBI github page has English translations for a lot of things. The config file is also in English. You can also use your phones camera along with Google Translate. Point it at the screen and it will translate it.... at least enough to understand things. That said, after you've used it a handful of times you'll get used to where things are in the menu and wont really need to have it translated anymore unless you're using features you haven't used before. I only use MTP Responder to install and the option to clean orphaned files when needed.
Just wanna say DBI is a great program and there's really nothing like it out there. I hope the dev can one day make peace with the community and release it in english again.

Third. I think we all hope they have a change of heart, but it doesn't seem likely. You can't even ask a simple question about DBI without the "Don't use DBI" nonsense.
