Hacking Is this Wii savable? (Syscheck added)

If its either 4.3 or throw the Wii away, Id say it would be a good idea to go with 4.3. Its not like your Wii will explode and kill your dog if you use 4.3.

Good. I see from my Syscheck that the previous hacks have been removed from the System Menu 4.3 update. Only iOS 236 remained.

So i did the update. And it did nothing... only worked backwards because now i have to reinstall the hacked stuff again.

I did the first step of the Modmii guide: install the 7 iOS. They all installed perfectly.

Now i only need to know how to get HB channel installed?!

Fyi. iOS is an apple thing. IOS is wii. Don't let yourself get them confused.

according to the list, your wii can have bootmii installed to boot2. I HIGHLY doubt that the version currently installed is 0. That could just be a but with the program you are using.

Do you currently have bootmii installed in boot2?

OK get the bootmii boot files using modmii and see if bootmii comes up then if you copy it to sd.

I got the 3 bootmii files from Modmii and placed them on my SD.

So my SD looks like this now:

-Bootmii
>- armboot.bin
>- bootmii.cfg
>- ppcboot.elf

No it's fine like this, seems like bootmii is corrupt... We need some save way to update boot2, some ideas guys?

infectus. Thats probably it, or updating through nintendo. But if it was already boot2v4 then it can't be updated or fixed with the currently available homebrew or without an infectus.

The weird thing is that dop-ios (or dop-mii) only looks at the eeprom for what the current boot2 version is instead of examining the boot2 itself.

I know that for a fact because there has been many wii's that I have repaired that do have boot2v2 or boot2v3 installed, but I flash on boot2v4 with bootmii already in it and both bootmii and dopmii will tell me that it is boot2v2 or boot2v3 that is installed because they both only look at what is written in the eeprom. Kinda crappy way of checking it.

Sounds stupid, but may do another official system update? I would at least try it out.

Did another update trough Nintendo. Nothing. It only replaces all the IOS to original state.
The update that comes up when i want to play Wii Sports does not even start. It gives Error 32001 (something about the Internet blabla)

So there is no other way to get my Boot2 fixed?

The only way is that you may try dop-mii v12, but this version havent got so many security checks, so someone please say something before you try it out, boot2 is some dangerous thing...

Hmm... it's bigger then V16 ?

Well... the Wii is now capable of running The Internet Channel, Weather Channel and Super Mario 2 that i installed via WAD manager from MMM.
Only thing it does not do is Disc Channel and some form of Boot2.

What's the problem with Dopmii v12 then?
