I read somewhere that Sony can keep a history when your PS3 updates?
    is this true?

There's a very high chance that the PS3 itself keeps logs on each update and application/game run. There's also a very high chance that it can send this information to Sony whenever you connect to PSN.

If it is true, then someone will probably find exactly where the logs are and how to "edit" them so Sony won't find out.

Xbox 360 definitely does this. I've been wondering the same thing myself about PS3. If it doesn't already do it, they are probably working on it.

More like, if only they could find out. Neither of us have the skills to try.
