Ok. Since I've set up rx emuNAND and started playing on it my 3ds's battery been dropping faster. Does emuNAND consume more power? And why when playing for a long time in emuNAND the RX-E disappears?

the emunand is a 1:1 with your sysnand, There's not anything that will cause it to use more battery.

in my case, I feel like my battery doesn't last too long since I've been using it pretty much every day since I downgraded hahahha

about the RX dissapearing, I've seen it happen too, but it wont affect the way the nands act anyway

I observed that stand-by on emunand consume much more battery than sysnand. In playtime there is no difference.

Keep in mind that when using emunand, the system has to be constantly talking to the SD card since all the processes and shit are loaded from a partition on the card rather than a chip inside the system. During normal usage with the screen open or running a game this would be negligible. However it would likely have a larger impact on stand-by/sleep mode since it cannot actually stop using the memory card it it would normally.

It DEFINITELY drains battery quicker. Absolutely no doubt about it. At least Gateway / RXTools on My N3DSXL. Even in standby I only get a few hours.

From what I understand, Gateway will train it even faster if the cart is inserted.

edit:

sysnand > cfw (pasta/rei/rxtools) > gateway with the redcard

True, I could do the same with my old 3ds tho. The stand-by time was ~13 hours on a full charge, please note that WiFi uses A LOT of power.
I'm gonna boot my O3DS in Gateway mode when I go to bed tonight and see if it's not flashing red when I wake up, then try N3DSXL tomorrow.

You got a good chance of buying a used one and asking the seller how often they used or even ask for a Pic of fw and telling them not to update

Speaking of PLaystation. I see Evilnat put out a beta for PS3 CFW 4.91.2 on the 22nd.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Don't really see the point in updating it tbh
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea you right, I thought about updating my PS3 CFW to 4.91, but why really, everything plays fine now. I guess for people that have already updated past 4.9 it would be helpful.

Thats true, personally I don't play it online at all, in fact, I deleted all wifi details on it once I installed CFW, so it won't connect and auto-update itself

I play most games that are on both PS3/360 strickly on the 360, but PS3 exclusives are really only games I play on the PS3
