i jailbroke my ipod touch (2nd gen mc model) with greenpoison and for some reason every now and then it will completely shut down and then go through the reboot process (showing the apple logo on the screen) and then go th my lockscreen. what is happening??

I also jailbroke my iPod Touch (MC-model) with greenpois0n, and the same thing has happened to me two or three times. However, the shutdowns mysteriously stopped after awhile. They were never inconvenient and always happened when I was shutting down an app or something.

mine always happens while im in an app and before it happens, these strange horizontal white lines flash from the sides of the screen...
It's hard for me to remember exactly, but I think that's also what my shutdowns were like. There was also a noticeable slowdown just before each shutdown.

but i had just started using it and it wasnt plugged in either...

Hey guys, Yep same here with iPod Touch 2G MB. mostly everyone reboots but what i found. It is commonly reboots when it just got jailbraked.... But mines been jailbroken like 2 months ago. and i haven't experienced this problem but except last night. That was just once.

This is just a respring (springboard restarts). Some Apps are requiring this to run properly. And when you jailbreak with greenpoison it adds the apple to the image that is displayed while it resprings.
So it just looks like rebooting.
