According to this guide (but I found some similar ones) you can jailbreak the OFW 4.78; no need to downgrade, just a softmod. Frankly, it looks too good to be true.
So, is it really such a piece of cake, or am I really really dumb?
it's probably the latter

No, its most likely not true at all.
EDIT: definitely a fake, anything that has a survey for you to unlock a download is a scam, no doubt about it.
