So long story short, got 1 sd2vita adapter from ebay. this one:
s-l1600.jpg

When installing MLTHaku, the led just keep blinking for like a veyr long time, until:
  • i remove the sd2vita
  • i press the PS button to lock and unlock the console.
Once MLTHaku is installed, if the card is inserted, powering off the device will keep the screen on loading and the led next to the game cradtridge will keep blinking.

The sd its an original one [have 2 years with it], formated, exfat, zzBlank, etc etc etc..

The spring system do work on the card and eject it correctly.. so.. is this a faulty card or am i missing something?

Hard for me to say if it's faulty or not as I seem to have misplaced mine. But I recommend against these "smiley" adapters. Lay it flat next to an original PSVita cartridge and you'll see what I mean: The PCB is way too thick where the connection pins are compared to the original cartridge's PCB height.

Eject mechanism is nice, but I personally would rather not risk permanently damaging my game card slot over time.

I read here you need to visit a website in your browser after those steps. I haven't tried this guide, so I can't say for sure. My smiley face card is on the way from China.

i do understand how mlthaku works, i wrote the article here on GBATemp lol, but no, sadly, it seems that there is something wrong with the card, as it only flashes when trying to write to it.

(I have the one that has a smiley face printed on electrical (black tape) like tape, works fine so far. I notice the one in the picture is using a plastic sleeve instead, have you tried to remove the plastic sleeve and replace the contact points it covers with electrical tape instead ... or you may need to exchange the item)

Ur0:tai/gamesd.skprx make sure u dont have a tai config.txt on ux0
Right, the issue here is this, when isntalling MLTHaku, it just start blinking and after sometime, does not detect the gamecard and does not install molecularshell nor vitashell, due to not memory card, also, remember that i dont have a vita memory, so mlthaku should install it directly to the sd2vita, but it does not, so... any ideas here?

MLTHaku should do all the job, but the issue here is that it does not recognize the SD2Vita, well it does recognize it but almost hang the vita, and dont detect it at the end..

Yup, mostly Smiley adapters are fucked up, sadly, the first one, with the non eject function, worked wonders, i don't know why people complain with these one, about not able to pull it out, why would you need to? you can eject the SD card without ejecting the adapter.

Using it for about a month, and this little thing does wonders.

I had issues with my first SD2Vita 1.0 that had me pulling my hair out, got a new one and it worked perfectly without changing anything config wise. It's probably just a QA issue.

I guess it matches the fact that mine can work when it's forced to the bottom, first ones ones don't touch the spring thing if I undertand it correctly so they go directly to the bottom :)
I'll be getting one of those new ones that look like a replica of an actual game card (can't post images here dunno why), too bad price is so high (~$10 with shipping) compared to the smiley ones

i came across this post because i had my vita set up running fine using sd2vita, just gone to go on it now (after months of using it) and now when i power on i just get the card led blinking.

the console reboots and tries again and after about 10mins it boots but its loading everything off the sony memory card and not the sd2vita card.
