I have a Melee disc that randomly broke, what if I didn't want to switch to vWii to play it on Nintendont?
Is there some emulator for GameCube games?

Why would you not use vWii? You only need a Wiimote to install stuff, but then you can get into Nintendont from the Wii U's home menu in one click, and then you can use your GC pad to select Melee and play it.

Dolphin emulator for pc.
Or get a proper Wii, it has native gamecube compatibilty + you can install Nintendont.

You know the option to play GameCube emulation but refuse it?

I'm not sure what other miracles you were expecting. Dolphin on PC is the next best thing.

What else is there to be curious about? You use it or don't. It's as simple as that.
It was something like "is Wii U modding already got so far that it can emulate GameCube games?", since I can't really follow this scene very good, I can't use internet so much.

That's interesting... I've got Nintendont and stuff all set up but are you saying i can boot directly into it to play games! What about booting directly into USB Loader GX from Wii U menu?

This
https://gbatemp.net/threads/hbl2hbc-v1-1-boot-from-wiiu-hbl-into-vwii-hbc.455673/
Can be modified to boot any vwii channel. If using cbhc you can even boot to USB loader gx from cold boot.
Basically this. Install a forwarder on vWii (iirc, Nintendont is WWND, and USB Loader GX is UNEO), then set hbl2hbc so that it either displays a menu that allows you on Wii U side to choose what to boot on vWii side and it will boot it, or set it to autoboot the one thing you always boot (I set it to always boot Nintendont).
If you're too lazy to get to the HBL before booting hbl2hbc, you even have this https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-wiiu2hbc-a-hbl2hbc-forwarder-channel.455991/

It has nothing to do with how far modding is, the wii u is not powerful enough to emulate GameCube games. There's no way anyone other than Nintendo could make a reasonable GCN emulator for Wii u and I kinda doubt even they could.

Well, it could be something like Nintendont.

I wonder where you got this information from. Wii U can run Gamecube backups just fine in either vWii or Wii U mode.

no one can run gc backups on wiiu mode lol, and nintendont is not an emulator but i know its hard for people to understand that since they see older games playing and instantly think its an emulator lol.
