and if not is it possible/is anyone working on it?

playing a TPS with the d pad kind of sucks...

I doubt it, certainly not without reprogramming the whole game, with would take more effort than it would be worth. Seriously, why do people ask dumb questions like this? Think about it, you just expect someone out there to sit and reprogram a whole game, because the controls are a bit annoying for you? Sure, if you are willing to pay them an hourly rate, then someone might. Otherwise, forget about it.

I agree, but it ain´t gonna get fixed for this game.

I F#*ck*n´ hate using the Wiimote like a traditional controller!

It´s a mystery to me why this isn´t just automatically incorporated into any games that use the Wiimote in this fashion.

Guess the devs just want to piss some of us off.

even if you did have classic controller support you would need to use the wiimote to shoot missles.
and if you just pressed a button (like the shoulders) it would be too slow to time anything since you need to shoot them fast on bosses and stuff

The controls are fine, get over it.
You just have to get used to it.
That's the reason we all got a Wii in the first place, because it's different.
Other consoles have sharper graphics and more processing power over the years, but are stucked with the same ol' control scheme.
This is Nintendo we are talking about, they are #1 for a reason.

Or you could have the analog stick control the on-screen pointer. I played the entire game with the classic controller because I don't have a sensor bar and it worked fine.

1st the Wiimote as a normal controller is crap. Period. It doesn´t matter if you´re playing legal or pirated games, crap control is crap control in either case.

2nd @ moosehead, please explain how you got your classic controller working on this game. I sure haven´t been able to with mine, and I highly doubt anyone else has either.

Calling Other M a TPS is as right as saying Prime is a FPS...

someone clearly doesn't know how controllers work all it would take is a simple remapping of the d pad to the chucks analog stick not reprogramming the whole game...

Give it an hour and you'll get used to it.

I've already beat the game and the epilogue and I still don't like the controls. I'm used to it but that doesn't mean that it wouldn't be a thousand times better with an analogue stick.

ITT : ppl that are complete idiots and can't step away from the usual controller crap.
seriously, my hands are way bigger then most and i had no issues (most controller issues i have is cause its to small or shit like that).
if you think it feels awkward then just play , you'll get used to it
and if it doesn't, then youre to stubborn to get used to it

As DarkFocus has pointed out. It's a pretty simple project of using a gecko script like code to remap the buttons so the game recognizes a different button as if it were using the original controller. Reprogramming of the game would be a waste of time.

For the DS, it's even possible to remap buttons to touch screen coordinates

Even then, you?l keep the problem of first person mode, sinde your permanently pointing your wii-mote at the screen.

Someone clearly doesn't know how the software works, the nuchuk is a separate device to the wiimote (different reading routine) and the stick is analog instead of digital. You can't just hexedit a few bytes or slap a gecko patch on it.

if you plug it in the nunchuck is actually still active and sends signals in other M because otherwise it wouldn't give you a message(said forth message needs to be disabled with a hack) and I've played with my wiimote and chuck hooked up to my PC(it just runs in slowmo, half speed exactly, still smooth 60fps per second just everything is in slowmotion...) with the analog stick replacing the D pad.
