Hardware Is the Old 3DS Microphone compatible with the New 3DS XL?

Hello.

I have a New 3DS XL, my microphone used to work well in the past. After several years of use, it stopped working somehow and almost no sounds can be recognized from the 3DS, it can only recognize really loud blows.
I'm certain it's not problem with dust, as i opened my 3DS today to see the conditions and it was clean. I even tried using compressed air but no results afterall.

I couldn't find any N3DS microphones selling on my area, only O3DS versions. So my question is, is it going to be compatible with the N3DS? Will the flat cable fit?

The o2DS has the microphone soldered directly to the motherboard. The o3DS, o3DSXL, n3DS, n3DSXL, and n2DSXL have different microphones. Except for the n2DSXL, they share the same plug design but each flex cable is routed specific to the model.
