Gaming Is the DS doomed?

I live in the Philippines and I say the DS there is practically dead. Dead coz the sales of the DS on the open and black market is null. But don't get me wrong though I think the DS is a great handheld. I have one and planning to buy another one for my wife. I also have a supercard rumble, which I purchased with my DS lite. I love Nintendo for moving away from the standard controller and standard games. XX/YY was a funny adult game, Metroid Hunter was great alternative to standard FPS games, and Elite Beat agents was definetly a blast. I think that the DS overall is doing great, on top of its game but sooner or later without games that used more interactiveness except GH: On Tour, it'll die. Because the DS I guess is more geared towards being more "FUN" than "HARDCORE."
By the way I have the following games this month: FF: Revenant wings, Professor Layton, TWEWY and Zelda. I know, kinda late for me to have these games, I got hooked by MMO's. LOL!
I also have GH coming through mail...

I know exactly what you're talking about, PH is a PSP fagboy country, you'll see like 20 units when you take a stroll at a mall or a huge public place, but are they having fun with the GAMES? No, they only use it as an MP3 player. According to people I know, the PSP gets boring after a while, they'd rather play on their PS2s unlike the people I know who owns a DS(read:some are phat, they've owned it for that long), they're still using it up to now. I LOL at people who think the DS is for kids because it's, as you said, "FUN than HARDCORE", psh, the only good PSP games I've seen are PS2 ports(which most of us probably already have) and Patapon.

What about LocoRoco? Or Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core (it was good for not being generic turn-based RPG)? Echochrome? fl0w? Jesus, man, even Syphon Filters plays greatly! R-Type command is excellent too.

I am not PSP-fanboy, neither DS. I just happen to own both of them and I am enjoying both.

According to what I've read, Crisis Core has a battle system quite similar to FF12 plus that reel thingy, anyway, that's still just a handful.


OK, bashing won't not get me anywhere and I've already trolled far too many PSP fanboys before(it ensued megalulz for DS owners), I'll just stop for the sake of preventing another worthless DS vs PSP argument.
