Hacking is R4 .sav file similar to other .sav file?

cos when i download and paste a pokemon diamond .sav file into my R4, its says Save/Book files damaged. Please recreate the achieve. Any solution for this?

Solution = Use the save converter that came with your R4.

The .sav file must be exactly 512KB (524288 Bytes).

Nope, the largest game save is 256KB. The R4 like other flash carts support 512KB for games in the future that may use larger save files. Once we hit 1MB, R4 won't be able to save games.

...unless they release a firmware update.

The R4 writes save data directly to the save file on the memory card; there does not appear to be any hardware limitation to the size of save files.
