I happily removed Norton yesterday (stupid messages telling me to buy it looked like virus popups) and got Microsoft Security Essentials. It detected something called Pameseg.V.

It says to remove it which I am, but what is it?

Program:Win32/Pameseg.V is the detection for program installers that require that the user to send SMS messages to a premium number to successfully install certain files or applications.

Thank you for your fast reply, so it's not bad to leave it there?

Idk, I honestly don't know anything about viruses/trojans/etc.

It did a full scan at 2AM and this is what showed up :/

    maybe its something like opencandy.
annoying, detected as malware, but not 'malware'

ever see ads that tell you recommended products in installers?
    that's opencandy.
