Hacking Is my ps3 Downgradeable?

Ive got a ps3 on ofw 4.7. i understand that the only way to install cfw on my console is to downgrade to ofw 3.5. Is there a way to do this with my console?

no, but you can use a flasher to get your idps and then use the backup utility trick, or you can use an ODDE, when it supports 4.70

You have two options, use some tools to get the IDPS and then, in the OFW, you can play games on then, but is a little bit tricky, and since my point of view, I would not like to try that option, but that's just my opinion, you can try if you want.
The second option (Which is the "best" technically speaking) is install the Cobra ODE, which allows you to play PS3 games in most OFW, but there hasn't been an update for 4.70, so, you probably have to wait until they release something similar, so, the first option is all you can do for the moment, you can try that option though.
