Hacking Is it worth switching from Emunand to Rednand?

It seems to be a bit smaller, and I would assume it's what all future things will use.

Is it as simple as backup the Emunand in decrypt9, format SD to set up Rednand, then just restore Emunand onto it?

I don't know. I don't really know a huge amount about it other than it exists.

No point, you will save some space yes. But unless you are running low on space its not worth the effort.

You would save about 600mb, but it's a lot of effort for a tiny amount of space.

The 600 MB savings only applies if the system in question is an N3DS with the 1.8 GB NAND. If it has a 1.2 GB NAND, then there's no space savings.

(Or, a 2DS with either the 1.2 GB or 1.8 GB NAND, in which case you'd save ~300 MB or ~900 MB, respectively.)

Even so don't you only save space if you re-do the whole process? I believe a conversion from EMU to RED does not, as others have said doesn't seem worth while.
