I am picking up a second microSD card since my main one fills up so quickly now. I was reading up on this and I was curious to know if my Switch needed to be fully off before swapping, or if I can just go to Hekate's menu to swap

yes you can switch the card when in hekate menu
I do it all the time
but of course you will need cfw files in the new card as well (better to copy from old card)
