Hey

So I have an old NDS that had a broken hinge, I followed a guide online to remove the top screen and convert it to just a GBA game player.

What I would like to do is change the boot screen, maybe the DS Logo to GBA, but most importantly remove the option that lets you choose the top or bottom screen as if I was to accidentally set it to top screen I don't think I would be able to get it back.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

There are ways to flash a firmware/user settings thereof, which would include said settings, and even if not you could probably get a video counting the relevant button presses to get things back.

For customisation purposes I don't know if the logos are BIOS based or firmware based (the former being read only for all intents and purposes).

Most firmwares are not geared towards GBA purposes either. http://fwnitro.caitsith2.net/ would probably be the best bet there but you are first faced with having to edit the source to get the GBA on the lower screen. https://gbatemp.net/download/creebome.29609/ might also yield something.

Personally I would just run the normal no touchscreen option of flashme, and as you presumably have no DS slot cart in it then you can probably get it going on even more.
