Sorry if this is the wrong section. Not entirely sure where this would go. Anyways..I know you clearly can't download direct from the shop, but is there a third party option? Like how PS4 has Octolus. I want to apply updates to Super Mario Odyssey and Xenoblade Chronicles 2. On PS4 you could download the updates online and apply them using Mira, I'm hoping there is some sort of option for the Switch. Pardon my ignorance but having just bought my Switch last week, I'm still researching the scene.

Actually with a second switch you can transfer Game update data from one to the other.

As long as the game update does not include system update you are ok.

You will see something along the lines of updating system software, if so STOP b htt pressing B.

Now if you dont see that message then only fame update data is being transferred between the two.

Yes it's been confirmed working.

I confirmed and released my findings on this months ago.

Usually a friend with the game update will help you out.

If you have a second switch as I do.

One on 4.1.0 and another on 5.1.0 then I can transfer GAME UPDATE DATA FROM 5.1.0 TO 4.1.0

YES IT IS POSSINLE BUT KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR A SYSTEM IPDATE MESSAGE AND PRESS B TO CANCEL IF YOU DO.

Can not stress that enough.

I USE THIS METHOD

i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt.

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.

Free release can have loopholes where they still make money through ads
