Is it possible to connect a webcam to a wii?

    This could be (theoretically) possible. But custom drivers need to be created for the webcam I guess?

    It may be possible under Linux as there's a repository of drivers for a boatload of (older) webcams.

    Uh, no. Or else no one would spend the $29.99 (adjust for location) if there wasn't
    some wonderful Nintendo magic inside the Wii Speak mic.

    the wii can have anything connected to it as long as a custom driver is in effect.

    Yes, it is possible to connect a webcam to a wii. Won't do much mind, but there is absolutely nothing to stop you sticking it in the USB port anyway.

    It would be nice because other people won't hear what happens in my living room and it's cheaper.

    So what exactly can you do with Wii Speak..?? [​IMG] can you voice-chat with a friend that has Wii Speak...??

    wii speak is for voice chat, and for the webcam: linux can do that (or mayby win95 on dosbox [​IMG] )
