Why shouldn't it be? It's just an app, not differently from FBI, Nintendo 3DS Sound or any other non-critical title

Sysupdater doesn't install itself to nand, it's just a bulk cia installer

Well yes in itself it is safe but...
I thought this is a downgrader, that was written to nand somehow idk.. if you happen to update a firmware that fixed bootstrap etc..So you can downgrade...?

Unless you're planning to manually update your system using CIAs you don't really need that title and can be safely removed. It has nothing to to with boot9strap and its payload which is installed in your NAND.

This can not happen... Luma3DS protect itself from overwriting boot9strap payload when using standard update method.

The titles you (normally) install with SysUpdater are indeed nand titles, but this doesn't matter;
what matters is that removing an installer has no influence on what you formerly did with it

That's the job of nand backups, especially since if an update was incompatible with current CFWs, you wouldn't be able to boot the operating system and thus sysupdater
Of course, you could wait for a CFW update instead
B9S itself isn't responsible for what versions of the operating system you can run and which ones you can't, that's a CFW issue

I would back it up just to be safe. But I do not see any problems with removing it (Except the chance of a brick)
This is what i mean. (except the chance of a brick?) Could you explain more closely please?

If I install an official update via nintendo that bricks my nintendo , im fucked without this or..?

What I mean is if that I am not 100% sure if it's a NAND app. If it is there is a chance. (even if there is not)
But what I am most concerned about is that there may be another background app in the NAND that relies on this file to start up the console.
Another concern is that if Nintendo releases an update while it's deleted it may try to download and not know where to install the file. So it may overwrite a NAND app (this is unlikely)

SysUpdater is only a installer and one that works by itself after you get around the system privileges that it requires (essentially it only works after you run a CFW). It's not a system title, it's not used by other homebrew, CFW or the system itself, and actually SHOULD be removed after you get a CFW running so you can prevent misuse of it by folks who may get to play on your system.

@Chrisssj2 the SysUpdater is a homebrewed application, it's installed to the SD card. You can actually delete it using the 3ds memory management. The memory management can't remove applications installed to the 3DS reserved NAND partitions (people who installed titles to nand by accident using the 1.X versions of FBI had to remove them using FBI), only DSi games that are also installed to the NAND but in their own DSi partition.
