as simply as I can describe it, got a PSP 1k model here, and seems like even with Infinity 2.0.3 and Pro-C2 6.61, I'm constantly having to do the process of using its recovery mode to uninstall and reinstall the CFW, because like the next boot or whatever I turn it on and I get a black screen until I hit home button to boot without it loading the CFW and repeating the steps over and over again. Trying to understand if maybe I'm doing something wrong or if maybe it's some kind of bit rot for the age of the given handheld. Or if there's something I could do to mitigate that.

Well, if it turns out your psp is dying out, you could buy a broken one and do a board swap, I think psp saves are transferable between other consoles. Try a different memory card maybe, do a fresh reinstall of ofw and install pro cfw with CIPL, no infinity

Well, on an upside, since I'd made that post, it seems a few more "tries" and seems to have been behaving again. Doing the CIPL installer option to "restore raw IPL" a couple of times greatly helped restore stability. So it's been behaving again after that. :gba::yaypsp:

Just found out he's doing alright, doing a lot of complaining too, rightfully so. Who wouldn't complain after having a seizure and being hospitalized?
