Trial keys anyone has given some ass with a random number generator hasn't ruined them will work. I had for a time on the site seen a way to do the demo that way too.
I'm not sure where you got the idea that prophecies was the least on grinding and that nightfall was the most friendly for new players because both are fairly false. Of all them Factions has the least grinding, smallest learning curve, fast leveling up, and the creatures are more balanced towards being easier at first so you don't get wasted. Nightfall aside from the heroes you can custom yourself and control on a limited basis is probably the hardest of the packages once you get around 1/2 into it because the packs of enemies get large and they're well into the mid lv20s so it can get you screwed fast if you're not wise about it. Prophecies on the other hand isn't insanely hard either, but it's more challenging than Factions, and on the downer you level slowly so you'll have to grind to survive.
That other guy with this minuses to the styles was right that some guilds are just loaded with jackasses. Some of them are entirely ego driven by idiots who demand you do X level of faction pts per day/week or you get the boot, and act all high n' mighty. Many of them are too focused on being scripted attackers in guild battles you have no right to think/be original with stuff. Guild battles suck, hate em for that reason. Alliance Battles though aren't that way, outside of the typical random asshole or pack of them you come across.
