As you would of seen by reading the stickies, you will find out that we have no idea when it will be hacked.
It doesn't seem like it's going to be hacked anytime soon.
Please don't make new threads about this.
Oh and Nintendo has auto-bricking measures from what i've heard so don't expect that to be easy to crack.

i hope not now, since i not have 3DS XD
What about all the others that do? Would you wish for them to NOT have a hack?
sorry, i just bored to see why someone was more like to create own thread like this rather than post their idea on stickied thread .... also i not wish for them to not have a hack, i wish they must see on stickied thread before create new thread... and not make new own thread like this....

btw 3DS will hacked soon but i don't know when... someone was have progress on hack 3DS, and some team too.

I'm sure some people are trying, but not much headway is being made at the moment.
Neimod, probably the most notable hacker working on the 3DS, says he's made an incredible amount of progress, but he's staying rather tight lipped for now. His goal is homebrew only, though, so it doesn't necessarily contradict your statement if you're talking about piracy.

People who are saying they don't want the 3DS hacked are clearly worrying about piracy without thinking about homebrew. A software hack won't necessarily lead to piracy (it was several months before soft loaders appeared on the Wii). I, on the other hand, think that the 3DS presents a lot of unique homebrew opportunities and cannot wait for it to be hacked.

There are people working on it, even if they don't tell it everywhere every days.

Like said, Neimod is working on the RAM analyzing. He made a RAM reader, which you can see here.
Maybe other peoples are working on different things, maybe not.

Your main source should be 3dbrew.org where you can follow the console documenting process, and find names of people working on it.
Those same peoples often have websites/twitter/blogs/etc. where you can follow their work.

You can also check that stickied topic, but it's more theories than real works.

srsly? when do ppl like you stop talking about how piracy kills the entire planet
it does NOT
just an example

i don't want to look agressive or anything like that, but people who keep making these "i'm a goodie-guy and want the 3ds to be the best, i fully support them so piracy sucks blah-blah...." should realize piracy is not that big of a threat
the 3ds still uses physical copies, want to help the sales? don't trade-in games, simple as that
much more people trade-in games or anykind of software for that matter and while the shop gains from it, the developers not really

then again, i had my 3ds since day 1, i waited for so long for a hack and i can wait more, if there are any hacks availabe, i'm sure that ppl who can't live without it or the hackers themselves will make sure we know about it, there's really no need to ask

edit.: oops, misclicked, haven't been on the site for a while

Lets try a scenario here. If I HAD just hacked the newest handheld console which only has about 140 game already made or promised and there were 3-4 more years of potential sales and game releases, I wouldn't release the hack just yet. I would want far more games to be available and would want to be very certain of all the protections, and security measures in place before I tipped my hand that I ahad already beaten them and that thier next four years worth of [game] desigen efforts were all for nothing, or almost nothing and that they had already lost millions in sales before they even make it.

With each 6 your old child on youtube explaining how to work and where to get a flash cart, I would be surprised if there's anyone left on planet earth that knows what a video game is that DOES NOT KNOW that it can be copied to an R4 and played, even if they have no idea what an R4 is. Hell I figured it out (a few years back) and wasnt even trying to!!!!

And with all these people publically explaining via video how the latest flash cart upgrade works (posting on yourtube) it isn't hard for Nintendo to figure how how quickly thier security measures are being bypassed. I suspect Nintendos hired big guns to bring in effective security measure this time around... I would If I were them..

It's called a hyperbole.

When in his post did he mention piracy killing the planet?

he does not, i just "badquoted"
but if i want to make a reply to his comment
i'd say that there's millions of methods out there to hack a system and once it's realeased, it's always avaiable somehow and can be updated
there's no point in not releasing the hack and yes, the first guy who would hack the system would either care only about the homebrew and loves hacking or wants to make tons of money with the hardware/software hacks or flashcarts
and i hope nintendo will put up a good fight, because it's always neccassary

If anything, piracy would be saving the planet, what with less materials being required to make packaging/game carts

I'm not convinced piracy results in console failure. Some of the most successful consoles (PSX, DS, Wii) of all time have had the biggest piracy problems. As for my stance...

I have 21 wii titles, I keep the discs and covers in a safe place, and play then from CFG Launcher, Homebrew aways create a better gaming experience, and I hope to see homebrew for 3DS soon...

Im not talkin about piracy i just want the 3ds to be unlocked to its full potentail like the wii yeh it would be good to have my games installed on my 3ds but homebrew is what i wnt to be honest

Hackers are incredibly lazy and worthless to not step up to the challenge. I think they've all just given up, Nintendo has truly outsmarted them once and for all.
It hasn't even been a year. Does the name Neimod ring a bell?

for everyone in here pretending not to want piracy, there are hundret users coming here everyday just wishing for piracy and being able to trick region locking, just like me!!!

i reeally cant belive, that none of the flashcard-companies came up with a 3ds backup solution so far. there has to be a buttload of money in bringing the first one. even 100+ euros would be totally worth it for me, and i bet many others

WOW guys i wanted a answer not world war 3 Thnks to everyone that helped me and not argue over whats what and what the conditions of being a pirate are :L

Perhaps one of the users is in a real contact with the producers of acekard, or similar, and could give a little insight on their stance?
i know, that if you mail them, you get a standard reply like "we're working on it", but i would love to know a little more, what they have/don't have so far.
