I just ordered yesterday, alot of review sites say it's awesome!
But I want to hear your opinions.

not good if you only have a dsi and its on 1.4. that means you have to find someone with a ds lite to update the acekard.

It's great, i'm very happy with mine

lol, jk

AKAIO 1.6 gives you pretty much the most reliable flashcart out there.
You don't get the bells and whistles that say, Cyclo DS does (no in-game menu, save states, etc), but what you do get is a fantastic cheap solution for storing multiple games and homebrew. Games play pretty much perfectly, with no noticeable slowdown on a fast microSD card, and is currently one of the few games that can play Heart Gold and Soul Silver.

I might flaw it's build slightly, I've had mine for a while now and it's degraded a little (small spots on the contact pins), but it's so damn cheap you can just buy another when the time comes.

...Honestly, I'm preaching the word of Acekard 2i lately, I'm just so damn happy about AKAIO 1.6.

I also ordered mine yesterday! From what I have heard its really good. I'm just wondering since AKAIO isnt the offical firmware is it like ysmenu for the R4? And is it easy to install

But the Acekard I purchased says 1.4 compatible. Does it really need some patch?
The AK2i is shipped with 1.3 compatible firmware, but won't run on a 1.4 DSi.
You need to download a .NDS file onto the microSD, run it, and patch the cards internal firmware. Obviously, you need a DS that can run it.
After that, you'll magically have the "Danny Phantom Acekard 2i", you'll see what I mean.

Wait, so I need a DS!? All I have is a dsi!

Nothing like YSMenu. It's a firmware built especially for the AceKard so just download it and put it on your SD card like you would with any other normal firmware. No building/compiling/fucking about or anything.

AKAIO 1.6 RC1

Thanks alot, now I have that for when it arrives ^-^

it does say updated but i think that means that thats them saying its possible to play with a dsi after patching
im sure you'll find out on the day you get it

Amazing card as long as you buy it from a reputable site like RHS, use AKAIO 1.6RC1, and laugh at everyone else waiting for a patch on HGSS while AKAIO worked out of the box. jkjkjk to everyone else.
