Title. I can get one new for ~70$. My main concerns are driver stability and thermals. Any input would be appreciated.

@grey72 if you are not looking at the used market a 4gb rx 470 is pretty fair for the money. just look at the possibility to need to upgrade in 2 years or so. its not terrible but not considerably new either. It also depends on what processor you are pairing it with. it would be good if you could share that info. fyi drivers are more than fine. Thermals will be ok so long as you dont game in an extremely warm place.
performance is probably somewhere better than an nvidia 1050 but not quite 1060 level.
edit: it looks like it trades blows with a 1050ti back and forth which given the price, its quite nice!
fyi i got a 480 4gb in the used market for about 50 a few weeks ago so for one of my rigs. 70 for a slight step down but new seems decent.

oh hell yeah. for the money its a good pairing. just keep in mind most games at this time will run fine on 1080p at medium to high settings. only a very few odd ones (e-sport titles mostly) here and there will probably hit ultra (Soul Calibur 6 will probably be fine for example) just think of it as hold over card though. save up a good 250 for your next card but it can hold you for 18 months or so if need be. just my opinion tho.

edit: your rig will be pretty darn good with current specs and a 580 8gb just fyi
