The government of Iran claims it again with a computer virus is attacked. It is unknown what damage the virus, called "Stars", would do exactly. The virus was earlier Stuxnet Iranian power plants on.
Iran Iran claims to be attacked by a new virus called "Stars", reports Reuters. Whether the virus would be specifically designed to attack Iran is unclear. According to the Iranian chief of police, Gholamreza Jalali, the virus is currently being investigated.
Jalali told nothing about any damage that the virus has wrought. The commander just wanted to say that the virus 'first' little damage and that it can be mistaken for executable files of government agencies.
If the virus is designed to attack Iran, would not be the first time: the virus Stuxnet founded last year in damage to Iran's nuclear power plants. It was written for frequency converters of uranium centrifuges to sabotage. It is still unclear who is behind the virus.
