Hello,
For anyone who has (or has had) a Monster Hunter Generations Edition New 3DS XL in hand, do you have one or two IPS screens?

I'm asking this, because so far, I've only seen Dual TN Monster Hunter Generations Edition N3DSXLs...

Thanks,
TechAndrew

I've heard multiple times that is varies. Some people have a Top IPS, and some have two TN. Mainly 2 TN.

Just a side question, why are you so obsessed with Dual IPS screens? lol

ips is beautiful. I have a dual ips hyrule edition

To most people, they won't be able to see the difference.
In my opinion, the best way for people to see the HUGE difference is to put a Dual TN and a Dual IPS 3DS side-by-side.
It is at that moment that he/she shall realize how much better IPS is.

I personally checked out the IPS screens back in Hyper Japan last week (most of their demo units were top IPS/bottom TN), I'd say the difference in picture quality isn't really worth the hassle trying your luck with buying/returning multiple units.

I do agree with you it isn't worth returning and buying a ton of n3ds to get ips, but personally I prefer ips

I have a top IPS / bottom TN and I can definitely notice a difference in the color temperature... (IPS seems blueish compared to TN...)

Mind you, at this point I've pretty much gotten used to the color difference between the screen but it's still there...

I have IPS Top and TN Bottom.
In that case, the conclusion would be that 3DSs made after Feb. 2016 have a much lower chance of having IPS (surplus stock, perhaps?)
