Apple Ipod nano question

My nano accidently got washed
the screen is white but i can see the icons and stuff in the background so i no its not the firmware and stuff.
Could i take apart the iPod wipe the screen and let it dry
would it do anything?

its a 4g btw

or get some silica dessicant (the little bags you find in with electronics) put your iPod and the dessicant in a ziploc bag and put them somewhere very warm - then forget about it for a week - you might be okay.
