Apple Ipod being screwy!

I have a 2nd gen Ipod nano and it's works perfectly! Except that when I plug it into the computer, it only starts to charge and doesn't open like it normally wold! What's wrong with it! Thanks Tempers!~

That normally is due to a bad cable. If the handshake with the computer doesn't get through, it'll just treat the computer as a power source and charge.

When I had that problem with my brother's nano, we took it to the apple store and they replaced the cable for free.

One of my friends had an iPod nano and the charge cable eventually wouldn't work, so he took it to an Apple Store and they gave him a new one for free.

So probably yes.
