I heard the new iPlayer card has bad effects on the battery of the DS/DSi?

Does this mean the battery just doesn't last long when the card is in use, or is the battery permanently damaged?

Thanks

While using my Iplayer I do see the battery lasting less time... but not that much... let's be pessimistic: 30 minute less than a power saving flashcart.

And actually I'm playing at almost the higher level of brightness on my DSi.

Still enough time to casually play some GBA games and watch a full 2H30 movie (and even a little more).

Little tip: as the Iplayer can't run commercial games, you can disable the wifi if you don't plan to use it in bunjaloo or others...

After a few tests, my DSi loses about 15 minutes of power when I'm using the iPlayer. Although, I wish there was a .nds rom support - imagine the features that could be implemented using the extra hardware!

^^ got to hand it to ya

that's the best review i've seen for the iPlayer out there

damn i so badly need one now.
