should I buy a iphone for £169 exclusively on O2 (unlock iphone easy done) offer end 1st June .....

Q: should I get one? or it just waste of money... could get a better phone like new the Sony Ericsson G900 coming soon....


what disappointed me having a iphone: no bluetooth and GPS....

I had a imate jam (PDA with built in phone) back then and i didn't like it for some reason.....

On the subject of thickness, it is thinner then my former phone, the BB Curve, and that thing was, imo, thin as fucking hell.

I admit it has selling points, but, at least over here, it's far too expensive while offering old technology, apart from the screen.

It uses EDGE technology for mobile internet, which is slow and dated. It has an accelerometer. Big deal, so does the N95. Typing is a pain, even in "landscape" mode. Camera, despite phones not needing a camera, is relatively poor quality. Gmail? Great. Any phone with an internet connection can use it. "Push" email is better for phones anyway, and most "smart" phones support IMAP. Youtube? EDGE is too slow. Google maps? Slightly useful, but EDGE is slow, and no GPS.
Not having one, I can't comment about the ringtones saga and custom apps (I've heard of jailbreaking, but phones should allow custom content out of the box)

But it has a touch screen!!!!!
So what? I prefer buttons. I can enter stuff without looking at the screen knowing what will come up with certainty.

It seems like you'd buy anything with the Apple logo...

I find the phone to be long and wide, i wouldn't want to carry it around. Also it attracts a lot of attention when you have it in a pouch on your waist. I wouldn't want that.

What some people are trying to say, is that cause of its name brand people will buy it for no reason as they get brainwashed by the minority that this is the way to go, similar why playstations stick with the name as zomibes will buy no matter how big/bad it is just to say & rub salt in people that buy other products not within the miniority.

it's a better product than the competition. it is so vastly superior to every other phone sold that it doesn't have any competition, just imitators. i did not feel brainwashed when I bought mine

I don't know what you guys are talking about, I have my iPhone in a clear case and it feels natural in my hand and is fine to use against my head. I have it on a holster on my pocket and it's pretty accessible. That's only the asthetic portions.

The iPod funcationality is just like any other iPod and has a neat cover flow feature. I haven't paid for a cent of my music yet, so I don't see why anyone would complain about how to add music with iTunes as it's my default audio player anyway since I got sick of Winamp.

My iPhone is jailbroken and unlocked, allowing me to do some pretty intresting things which most of the people on this site would be interested in.
1. I'm using T-Mobile with an internet plan for 5 dollars, allowing me to browse the internet and youtube at my will wherever
2. As it is jailbroken, I can use GBA, GB, and NES emulators ON the iPhone
3. AIM and MSN are usable on the iPhone as well in its own native application
4. MUCH MUCH MORE.

So yeah, before bashing the iPhone, take the time to actually get your hands on one, mess around with it, get a feel for it. Then hack it and see the full potential of a phone that's more like a portable media/gaming/pda device rather than a simple "phone".

After research, I was left with the N95 and the iPhone as top-of-the market phones. Seeing as the only thing the iPhone offered over the N95 was the screen, which I do like, I chose the N95.

The N95 is a nokia, That's it's biggest flaw. The other flaws include a weird shape, a normal number system, the god awful symbian os, and so much more.

Do realize you can get an 8GB iPhone refurbished which is basically new at any AT&T retailer or Apple Store for 250USD. Owned.
