Well, unless the internals are damaged, refurbished is as good as new.
    The screen/battery/chasis are all replaced.

Personally, my 16GB was purchased new.

If the iPhone isn't weirdly shaped, nothing is.
I like Symbian, for the homebrew. Don't say it crashes, because it doesn't (at least after firmware upgrades)
And for me, the normal number system is a pro. T9 still beats the iPhone keyboard. (Although I've only used an iPod touch, I imagine the keyboards are the same)

I'm trying to make a real argument here. I could counter your arguments with "It's Apple, they suck, you're a fanboy" but that doesn't help anyone.

The iPhone will make you cool because everybody else has/wants one. What, your individuality? You won't need that where you're going.

    Resistance is futile.

The Iphone is shaped differently. It is, however, a requirement due to the screen. The n95 is just shaped weirdly. It doesn't need to, but it is.

Symbian is just awful. It's ugly, it's slow, it has tons of shovelware, it is everything that's wrong with cellphone operating systems.

It doesn't. Not even before you learn how to use the Iphone keyboard. I was still faster with the Iphone keyboard when I first used it than I ever have been with the N95's keyboard.

Why do I find it funny that the guy with the gaminglagoon sig is complaining about how much Apple things cost/suck?

I never said Apple things suck, the iPhone is a pretty handy device from what I've heard. The only problem I really have with Apple is the fanbase that follows it like a religious cult. Last time somebody asked me if I had an iPod I said I didn't, they tried to give me a damn sales pitch.

I don't have to carry around any of those things, at least the ones that exist. Also, YOU would have to carry around an archos, seeing as the N95 has a tiny screen and the archos is made for movie viewing.

Out of all the quotes that you could have in your sig you chose a line from "Family Guy". Why am I not surprised.

    Don't. You. Dare.

Anyway the N95 8gb is better than the bloody overhyped iPhone.

The Iphone is revolutionary. The N95 is a Nokia.

That's all I need to say.

You should see if theres any way to get it without having to actually sign up for the contract.

Here in the US the iPhone is marketed as requiring an AT&T contract, and it even says you need one if you want to purchase it from their site. However, since activation is done at home, and the fact that they don't actually check that you have an account during purchase, its trivial to just go home and unlock it.

Ummm... what did the iPhone revolutionise?
As far as I can tell, Touch Screen existed before hand :S
And everything else it has... has been on phones before...
Same goes for N95 though. I don't believe it's revolutionary, but overall just better (looks nicer, IMO)

    Also I don't really like Apple ¬_¬
Macs... alright but anything else... I dunno. Just don't like. Blurgh.

    The interface.

I'm trying as hard as I can not to get in the middle of this argument, but the reason I went with the iPhone was due to --what I would consider-- the best interface available on a mobile phone. For whatever reason most people in these sort of threads never take that into account (I imagine because its not accurately represented in paper and specs), but I can't imagine many people who don't consider it an important aspect of such a device.
