Apple Iphone 3GS 16G not booting

So, I've recently bought an iPhone 3GS 16G and when I first tried it out, it didn't boot. So then, happily, I went charging it for like 10 hours now, and it still doesn't want to boot. So, I plugged it on my computer through iTunes using the DFU mode from some guide shown on the internet, and the program typically asked whether I wanted to restore the iPhone to its old settings, so it would work. But, I keep getting error 2005.
Anybody can help me on this?

I've read something on the internet about error 2005 being a bad USB connection. Do you have any other USB slots you can try it on? Also, tried reinstalling itunes?
