Just because Teq hasn't posted anything in this thread in a week, doesn't mean the project "is (obviously) canceled". It just means he has a life outside of Wii brew/hacking/dev. He probably has something that's kept him from posting. Just be patient, or do something yourself to help...

I own the Internet Channel legally from the shop, so I feel a certain right to be able to hack it

You're right, actually.

I've been up to other things, some of them being leisurely activities and others being work related.

Playing around with the Internet Channel hasn't really been at the top of my list, because (and I mean no offense by this) browsing the internet on my Wii is a novel and impractical concept compared to running Maxthon on my HD set.

The project(if I'd even call it a "project") is taking as much time as it would under the guidance of someone who is both a healthy ratio of busy and lazy.

Consider the old adage of Rome not being built in a day. Now, imagine that the contractor for the job is the Kool-Aid guy. Yes, that would be me.

Sorry if this "bump" annoys anyone but I simply cant let a project like this die away to memory. I'm going back through this thread to read the pages but a lot of progress was made. It's to soon to end things now!

Question is, what would it take to make a totally new browser? Better yet, are there elements from the Opera browser we can take to place in a new browser? Not giving this thing an update as a BAD move by Nintendo. A year ago I was able to recommend this browser to new Wii owners but I cant even dare recommend this thing anymore. It's appalling! Hardly any of the video sites open at all. Is there a open source flash player out there we can use to help the community create a new browser?
