Hacking Internet Channel Tweaks

Ploggy: Just get an internet channel WAD(look on the first pages for this) and unpack it. Open the 00000000.app with a hex editor and search for 7.0 Replace the 7.0 rev XX with 9.9 rev 99 (apperently(from what teq said) any version over 9.0's gonna work).

Voila!

I have opera mini on my PSP via the java emulator PSPKVM. It's so much faster than the official browser.

I looked into it and it would require a lot of porting with the KVM... a lot of porting I'm not capable of doing. In any case, the Opera Mini browser is more suited for mobile device resolutions and limitations.

On a TV, it wouldn't be adequate.


Anyway, I hope someone could help me with the files I've posted above.

Agreed that it's a great project, but I for one don't have anything to offer. We can only sit back and hope that Teq is able to make some progress, or someone else steps forward.

When the wad is unpacked and it shows a bunch of app files, is it possible to "decompress" the app files into a folder structure that would show the plugin folder for the browser, then turn them back into app files afterward?

Use HowardC's U8 Tool to unpack them.
