Hacking Interest in NDSRom Organizer?

Please read through the post before you use TKRO the first time!


I've allways had the problem with Romorganizers, that they weren't able to identify some trimmed roms. So I started program my own Organizer.
Right now the alpha Stadium is reached and I just want to know if there is a interes into a Romorganizer that identifies ANY Rom (trimmed or untrimmed) available right now.

-It uses the advanscene-database and updates itself as soon as there is new information added to advanscene. So you are allways up to date.
-An Autorename-Function is allready included and working for any Rom i've tested so far (trimmed and untrimmed)
-A Trimm-Function is planned but not yet included (will be in the next fiew days)
-Updates will come frequently if there is interest in the program
-The program lists all .nds Files of a chosen directory. Including Coverpictures, which are downloaded automatically.
-The Programm also organizes your Card (M3DSReal etc.)

This one comes only as an updater for testreasons.

Manual:
1. Extract all files of the archiv into the TKR Organizer folder (where the TKR Organizer.exe is located)
2. Execute the "update.exe"
3. Wait until you get two "ERROR" messages ^^ (klick yes for starting TKRO or no for just exiting the update)

You'll only get the "ERROR" messages this time. This is because the language files are downloaded the first time with this update. On future updates you'll get a successmessage here.

In order to change the programs language just change the "language=" line in the "settings.ini" youll see the available languages if you look into the "langfiles" folder.

Personally i think any rom manager that gets updated regularly and is up to date is a winner, I'm currently using Rominator but sadly the guy keeping it up to date has quit due too personal reasons. so if this one isnt over complicated and it does what i want it to then I'm in

It is going to be updated a few times a day, as it is updating its database automatically. So i am pretty shure you are going to be up to date all the time

If this is going to be under active development so bugs can be fixed and features can at least be considered, I think people will certainly like it.

I'd release the first alpha version during the day. The Program still has a few bugs and translation faults i think

I hope you'll give me feedback so i can fix all the problems and improve the tool.

I think I'll post the link today afternoon, or maybe even this mourning.

About cards i own, i have several flashcard both slot1 and slot2.

So this is ABSOLUTELY alpha

I think it is still full of buggs and i've got to improve it a lot.
I hope you guys help me with this by posting all the buggs you find and also your suggestions for improving the tool.

I hope you like it and find it usefull.


Short manual:

3. Klick on "reload list" -> follow the given instructions at first start
4. the rest is selfexplaining

If you want to copy some roms onto your card, you first got to chose the device with the dropdownbox on the right (right now just for M3DsReal, i will add other cards today too)

so far, so good.

loads up a lot quicker than any other ive used

a few icons missing.

Do you intend to add cover art?

maybe an option to display scene numbers and region

a maximise button option

maybe it could remember the list rather than have to reload everytime you start the programme.

A Cover's beeing shown when you just klick on the rom in your list but i will add some more options to show for the rom.

I will also try to make the layout more flexible so i can add a maximise button.

the list remember feature won't be a big problem i think

the only cover i see for any rom is a BIG ? unless i'm just clickin on roms that dont have a cover yet....
