Guys plz help, I tried everything, using the flex cable, fly wires, thicker wire for dat0, and even using flex and connecting dat0 cable directly to the chip itself instead of the flex. I also reflashed the chip firmware and It still blinks yellow, purple, red, then boots to ofw.

the points diode values are:
3.3v = 0.85
D = 0.88
A = 0.84
C = 0.85
B = 0L
Incase any one’s wondering, I redid my cpu cable and switched back to the flex and it worked for some reason (all points still measured the same). But I did break the display connector 🥲

Just found a Switch-OLED, modded with this chip. Would you guys recommend it?
Is it a good chip and future proof? Or should i look/wait for something better.

Even the oldest chips still work. Improvements are mainly in terms of glitching speed and ease of install. Instinct seems to be much better than hwfly in that regard. Picofly glitching speed is possibly even better but install is invariably tougher.

go with pico 2040 there is a premade from aliexpress will be better support in the future little bit cheaper then this aswell

I wanted to make an update regarding my installation.

So far I fixed all the problems I encountered by:
Wiping out the microSD card
Updating sysNAND to latest OS version
Formatting the microSD to exfat 256kb allocation (512gb total size)
Pulling again the HATS for sthetix
Added all host website exclusions.
Remaking the emunand partition.
Activating the incognito mode.
Booting into atmosphere.
I put a game cartridge in.
Once on atmo, I used the album to launch the tinfoil autoinstaller. As soon as it finished installing I updated the game cartridge I put inside to be launched.

DO NOT ACTIVATE THE CRYPTO conversion feature in tinfoil.

Then once the game launched, I closed it.
Closed all the software. Run again the game that now displays on the home using the R button, this will remove the memory limitation on tinfoil.
I added the pixel shop in tinfoil using their discord.
Set my region in the options.
Downloaded freewares 🤡. (Remember not to activate the crypto conversion)
Launched games one by one FROM TINFOILS the first time only.

They all worked.
Now, there might be some unnecessary steps on this, but the first time I tried to use tinfoil using a different procedure nothing worked. The sdcard in exfat made Hakate 10 times more stable. It never misses detection or speed mode anymore.

My config:
Oled, INSTINC-NX v6 BLACK pcb flashed with the provided FW in the Drive folder.
CPU and additional 3v3 with resistor point ecc cable used, despite sthetix disapproval. DAT0 Flex PCB used with GND anchor points, no reflow.

Incase any one’s wondering, I redid my cpu cable and switched back to the flex and it worked for some reason (all points still measured the same). But I did break the display connector 🥲
hmm, what is the best way to fix the display connector?

The Instinct is better than the HWfly so yes it's worth getting.

Pico is only good as it uses off the shelf parts, it's open source so to speak. As far as glitching and 'end user experience' it still has a way to go. So at this moment in time, Instinct is the best one

In the future pico will be better, but once it's installed you forget about it anyway

Pico has better glitching times...

And it isn't opensource

Does anyone got LineageOs working on OLED with this chip?

I successfully installed l4t on it, but stuck with android.
It says KERNEL PANIC after flashing lineage.zip from recovery

Yeah, mine's too but pico has a little faster timmings...
I imagined so.
You have a 240mhz cpu with fully reprogrammable gpios, which doesn't have to communicate back and forth to a fpga. Moreover the optimization of open source firmwares is always, potentially, way higher.

Is instinct NX still being sold? The chips I am seeing on Ali say HWFLY RP2040 even though the title of the listing says instinct nx.

I don't think the instinct is here to stay, at least in its MCU+FPGA form. They are probably working at a rp2040 solution too. I would buy the hwfly rp2040 atm.
