Installing windows games on Steam deck

Just tried Terminator Dark Fate Defiance which I had installed on my Win 11 laptop and after saving launcher as a non-steam game and trying 3 or 4 different proton profiles, I found one that worked!

Interesting. I'll try a few more. It's nice being able to play a game on 2 platforms without having to install it twice. Especially one that takes an hour or more to install. I'm going to try Cyberpunk and Indiana Jones.

Anyone know if save info also transfers? If Iplay TDF halfway thru, can I move it to my laptop and continue?

Gears of War Reloaded and Indiana Jones (this game runs the SD HOT!) both work on the SD after I installed them on my laptop to an external SSD. Just used proton and ran the game exe file.

Call of Duty games did not work, I tried 2, they said something about having no legit license after starting the intro. They do work on Windows 11...

Gears 5 did not start, it just looped on the load screen, no matter what proton I used.

Anyone know how to get the COD or Gears 5 games to run?

I think I'm going to try a Madden NFL and see if I can get it to run. Most of the feedback is only a couple of the Maddens work well on the SD.

I must say, several of the pc games that would not install on the SD, or installed and wouldn't load, work perfectly with this 'install on pc' and run here method.
