Ok so i have a couple games on .WAD that i want to play. But according to the guide i followed "Definitive vWii Hacking Guide"Definitive vWii Hacking Guide" to hack the vWii, that's highly unsafe as i could get a bricked vWii.

I found a couple posts adressing this matter but they were inconclusive at points, or even worse too much old to take in consideration in such a serious risk as this.

I should point that i'm using Wiliflow, and messing around with it i accidentaly pressed the stuff where it installs a channel to vWii main menu. It went ok and everything is working fine including the shortcut.
I'm quite new to Wii/WiiU hacking scene as i've never had a Wii and just got a WiiU, so sorry if noob questions.

If someone could enlight me on this that would be great. Including which wad installer to use, what precautions to take and when/why there is this risk. I'm guessing because of unpatched IOS80 possibly? I dont remember patching this one specifically and on the definitive vWii hacking thread it is not mentioned, so i'm guessing no. But i certainly backed it up, as i did all those processes.
Anyways,

Thanks in advance

Just to sum up the two posts above.

If you are installing some kind of forwarder or homebrew make sure that it says "vWii" in the description.
If you are just installing a Nintendo game or eshop release then you're okay to install the wad. There are no "vWii" versions of those.
