I had sourced a PS1 modchip long time ago. I am not sure how modchipping on PS1 goes and I think this is one of those generic programmable chips that could be programmed to work as modchip and then sold as is. I forgot what model the PS1 I took the modchip out from was (it was broken in some manner for sure) and the chip was quite professionally set with 5 wires, in legs 1,4,5,6,7 if I am guessing how leg numbering goes.
The chip I have is "M" - maybe motorola 12C508/P, 04 HAP, 9847
I was wondering how I would install this chip to a 5502 PS1 model. If at all; Since I am also asking is there possibility that the kind of program the chip has isn't compatible backwards with older PS1's or whatnot.
