Homebrew Installing boot9strap using DSiWare

Alright, so I've done all of section one of ntrboot, no problem. Section 2 tells me to hold start button when the 3DS is starting, and my 3DS still just starts normally. What am I doing wrong?

I'm just asking for making sure.

One last try. Go into the luma folder and delete the config.bin file. Then turn on your console. Does the luma config screen appear? If not, you don't have B9S installed. Double check what Olmectron said above.

What exactly have you done already? Can you show us with a screenshot or link? And show us which part you're trying to follow now?

You may look, at the left side, this:

You must follow and read all in the ntrboot page. Select your method, one of these:

• (Continue to Flashing ntrboot (3DS Multi System))
• (Continue to Flashing ntrboot (NDS))
• (Continue to Flashing ntrboot (DSi))

After you fully do any of those, the next step is Step 5: "Installing boot9strap (ntrboot)" and the last one after that "Finalizing Setup".

If you read everything, there are indicators that tell you what to do next.

You should have a boot.firm on the root of your 3DS SD Card.

I have the boot.firm; put it in both SD cards (the New 3DS XL and the R4i) didn't change anything.

For multi-system you need a console already running B9S. You probably want this: https://3ds.guide/flashing-ntrboot-(3ds-single-system)

Please read pages thoroughly before beginning - you could have avoided the headache by noticing these parts of the multi-system page:

OK, thank you Quantumcat, I'm now at the part where you are inside the R4 card pressing up, up and all sorts. Can't find Section II Number 6. I don't have an option saying RETAIL.

Unfortunately I haven't done this myself so don't have any experience. If you can post a screenshot of what you see on your screens, someone who has done it before might be able to tell you what you need to do

This will run on the official DS TT as well as a lot of clones.
