Costello deleted the first million posts of the forum when it was having major slow down issues. Most of the old sticky threads have been destroyed because of this.

Hey peoples

So I'm wanting to buy a PSP and all to hack it. Now that this guide has been deleted I have some Qs

1)What PSP should I get (a 2000 or 3000)?
2)How exactly is it hacked (I mean to put CFW on it)? Is it something with software, or do I need additional hardware? Or do I have to open the PSP?
3)What is this Pandora Battery thingy?

Sorry for the n00b Questions
And yes I saw the FAQ

Talk about lack of information in a post and using the wrong topic...if ever something needs to be closed on the PSP board it's this discussion.

Yes the standard slim PSP battery should have an EEPROM chip if it's genuine and therefore be softmoddable. However, given your total absence of details in your question if you can't do it obviously you're doing something wrong.... o.O

I was just asking because the started said that a slim battery should not be used. I tried hardmodding my battery but is looks different from all the batteries on youtube. So, I just taped it back up. Mine is a Made in Japan version. So, I can softmod it? But I only have 1 battery.

Given that extra info, no you can't softmod it.
